Just after 3pm today(Easter Sunday) Mike Vickers, John Madeley, Richard Madeley, Paul White & Michael Booth marched into Chester and through the East Gate like a small army, raising their voices in unison…”A sound of battle is in the land…..Open ye the gates that the righteous nation that keepeth the truth may enter in…..Lift up your heads O’ Ye gates and lift them up Ye Everlasting doors, that the King of Glory may come in…..”

It’s been a mind-blowing journey and I want to sincerely thank everyone who has faithfully prayed and been part of this mission. Also a huge thankyou to Jon Cook, Mike Castle & Mike Booth for being such brilliant support men!!!!!!! The Lord allowed us once again to be just the advance party, what’s coming on behind is the exciting bit and in some cases has already started!!!!!!! God has already been speaking to us about the next journey!

The journeys continue! “To win for the Lamb the reward of His sacrifice”

“Right on time in Runcorn”

I met a lad on the corner of a street today, 24yr old  was on a stake out on a home  where the family owed him 20k! He was contemplating some action on the family!!!!!! when I came past with the cross! This encounter absolutely floored him! He poured out his heart to me, though he couldn’t believe he was telling anyone all this stuff!  He then did something that really surprised me. He read the whole tract while I stood their next to him!!  We talked about Heaven & Hell as real places that exist beyond the Judgement. I have often felt destiny travel with us as we walk and this incident was one of those destiny encounters. In some cases it’s easy to feel your words just hit the floor but with this young man it was like every word went home!!!! The timing of this meeting didn’t just reach Colin with the gospel but maybe  saved that  family from harm! PTL

I just heard from Pastor James Ricketts from Blackpool (who invited us to stay) that yesturday at their Good Friday meeting they had 12 people get saved!!!! this is our mandate, We go so that God will come! We don’t just carry a cross but a promise, “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into evey city and place,whither he himself would come” (Luke 10:1). I told the Pastor that this was just a few rain drops!!! it wasn’t  it!  the rain is coming!

Let me say again, a huge thankyou to  everyone for your interest in this mission and for holdin it up in prayer.

“Lovin it in Liverpool”

John Madeley walked with me today! What a blessing he is. Here’s a picture of him in action. He gave his testimony to a couple of Unitarian lads today, had a big impact on them! He also moved in great boldness time and time again.

We hadn’t been walking long when nature called for John and I (must be our age!!!!) We were passing a church in Walton called Immanuel, seemed a good place to stop! They were holding a kids holiday club and it seemed a good place. After we had told them about a mission and received some refreshment (they looked after us!) a guy called Mike who was obviously inspired prayed a really good prayer and we got back on the road. 5mins later we stopped to pray for Margaret who buried her brother yesturday. While we were praying for Margaret another woman called Lynn was waiting to give us some money! We quickly explained to Lynn that we were not collecting but rather giving things away. She told us that she was in remission from cancer and recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. Before John & I  prayed for her healing we shared with her about Christ’s sacrifice for her on the cross. So Lynn, by the side of the road repented of her sin and received Jesus as Lord!!!!!! I then told her that her healing was a personal matter, she was now a King’s Kid!!!!!!! We prayed and she received!

JUST AT THAT MOMENT IT CLICKED!!!!! “Do you know Immanuel church 100yards back?” I asked her. She said she had past it and noticed it was quite lively! She agreed to go this Easter Sunday and I told her to ask for Mike and say, ‘the two men with cross sent you!’   Isn’t that amazing, God sent us in first to see how friendly the church here was, before meeting Lynn! Wow!

In the city centre today it has been one amazing seed sown after another. One young man said he was going to pray at home and open his heart to Jesus. I love this, and wonder how many others will actually, in their own time and in the quietness just between them and God!

Also today, a man Called Dan like the prodigal in (Luke 15) after just being impacted through seeing the cross raised up in the city, prayed with us and with tears came back to the Father!!!!!!!! PTL

Lots of children took smile tracts today!PTL  The city centre was packed today with people, a scorcher of a day and many saw the cross pass by. Many who even though it was “Good Friday” never expected to see the cross pass by them or raised up so near!

An Amazing day, thanks for praying.

“How to win arguments with intellectuals”

We made it to Kirkby today!

During the 21 miles walked today, as well as many people witnessed to along the road, we were invited into two households! PTL

The second home is the one I’ll tell you about. Mike Booth (support man) parked up outside a parish church in Bickerstaffe when a lady who lived over the way gave Mike a stern look for parking there. Mike B told her that he was waiting for a man with a cross!!!! so the lady invited us for a cup of tea ( we also had home made sorbet)

She was a real character and we stayed there a while even though we still had 8 miles to walk , God said stay for a while. I told her that we hope for the chance to enter homes so we can release peace on the house,and the Bible says if there is a son of peace there then the peace will rest on them……. I explained that a son of peace was someone who according to John 1:12, has believed on and received Jesus Christ personally and therefore were given the right ( the power) to be children of God.  She listened well but later said that she didn’t believe in the ressurection. She was a very intelligent lady and was well read!!!! While she was talking I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Ask her what her name means”. I realised that I hadn’t caught her name in the first place! She told me her name was Rennie, so I said ” what does that mean? “Reborn!!!” she said.

“Well Rennie, I said, “it’s about time you did get born again!” “Even your name points to God’s purpose for your life!!!!” From this moment it became easy to teach and explain further what God wanted to do in her life and she didn’t object to anything from that moment. PTL. At the end I told her that I was going to pray that the Ressurected Lord Jesus would come and visit her life. She accepted that and we prayed! This was an awesome time, More Jesus!! More!!!!

As I walked through Kirkby loads of children asked about the cross. One little girl said ” God bless you!” as I walked past.

Tomorrow we hit Liverpool! Pray for us please

Sowing in tears

After we ministered last night at Clifton Christian Centre (Blackpool) the Pastor walked to the front and said to his congregation, that he believed that something had changed over the church! “I believe that things are goint to be different from now on!!!!”,he said

This is Pastor Sandy and his wife Patricia, Pastor Sandy is also the only pentecostal padre commissioned officer in the Army!

Walking to & out of Preston

Just as I stepped out of the motorhome to start my walk this morning, the phone rang and it was extremely bad news! A good friend of mine has suddenly died. It came as a real shock and hit me hard. A big part of me just wanted to take off to be with the family as initially the sadness was a bit overwhelming. The Holy Spirit  quickly began to speak to me, today it really will be “…continually going forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing” (psalm 126:6). One minute she was alive and the next.. she was gone. Today my mission is clear! I must get this seed into many whether it be  a written seed or a verbal one, life is fragile and our message is urgent and every opportunity is precious!!!!

Please Lord, help us today cease with both hands every opportunity that comes our way, to point people to you. . God is good!!!!

“The cross has won the field” (Blackpool)

This morning I was given a word from Jon Cook, That today I should raise up the cross and God would tell me where in Blackpool to do it. “when you do it it will cause something to break….”  Also walking through the country lanes on the way in to blackpool the Holy Spirit gave me a message to preach!

Mike Booth had now joined me for the last mile to the centre. I have never heard such mocking in any other city, it was devilish!!! like demons manifesting through people shouting and jeering. Every step into the centre became heavy and seemed to take forever! We turned into St John’s square by the the big wheel and outside the winter gardens. This was the place!!!! I sent Mike B to the otherside to pray and while many watched I raised up the cross! Take that! pincipalities!!!!!!!!!!! It was as if a statement was being made in the heavens and in the earth!  We waited for 5mins, I had rehersed my sermon round the country lanes and the Spirit had prepared me. I started to preach, I mean I really preached! I felt a strong boldness and the atmosphere shift. Mike Booth said, it was like being in church….it was our ground now.. holy ground!

Only two people got up and walked away angry, the rest stayed and listened with eye contact! After the Preach Mike ,B gave all who had just listened, a tract and everyone took one and began to read it!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. Mike B, then took over holding up the cross and I went along the line from one individual/couple to the next talking and answering questions. Is this really happening, i thought…. One couple Scott & Karen came along way as we talked, their questions were fantastic and very revealing. These questions were leading them to Christ and not away from him!!! Scott was ready to committ his life to Jesus there and then! Thats a miracle  right there!!!! After praying with them both, others who had listened and were sat on the wall came and said goodbye before they walked off! This is crazy!!, but amazing!! PTL,PTL

And that’s not all! Right beside us in the winter gardens, a Morrissons union conference was in progress and Ed Balls was speaking. One man attending, became a bit bored and in need of a breather so he came out just at the point when the cross was being raised! He recognised the man holding the cross. This man called Andy was in my first church in Weaverham 17 years a go and was backslidden for the last 10 years. He came over sat on the wall and listened to the preach! After, he immediately came to his senses (Luke15) and got plugged back in to God’s purposes for his life. He’s coming to my men’s discipleship next Thursday!!!!!!! Wow, come on Jesus!

Also before I reached Blackpool I got invited into a house for lunch and was prayed for on the side of the road by Gypsy William Lee junior! And preached at Clifton Christian Centre tonight

 

“Mum! look at the cross”

Arrived in Lancaster today. A beautiful sunny day with lots of people in town. A little boy shouted to his mum,  “Mum! look at the cross”, she pretended not to hear so he shouted louder,”Mum!! look at the cross”. She had walked away by now but the boy was fixed to the spot and kept shouting till his mum gave in and came back to look!!!!!  I wonder, because this kind of thing happens a lot, what does mum say to the child?  The Bible spells out the danger for anyone who would hinder a child from coming to Christ!!!! It’s a big resposibility to be a parent.

Mike Booth and I were met with a strong sense of intimidation in the city centre and it was clear someone didn’t want us there! So we bound those threatening spirits and stayed longer than planned! ha ha.  Lots of people took tracts from us and one young guy took some for his mates and later we saw them standing in a circle reading it as a group! How crazy is that?!!

A woman called Grace saw me coming with the cross and asked me (and I am not exagerating…..)  “Will I go to Heaven?” She had recently had heart surgery and other treatments. I sat down with her and gave her some time. I lovingly showed her that according to what she presently believed, she would not be going to Heaven! It was a real joy though, providing her with the remedy. She said that she had some christian friends who tried to get her to church, however today she believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for her salvation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on Jesus.

Delivering a message in Kendal

I have always known that God has given us a  ‘John the Baptist’ style ministry and have had this confirmed many times. Even at the start of the walk in Glasgow, Pastor James Glass prophesied the same thing! (see first day blog)

“Behold, I send a messenger before Your face”( Mark 1:1)  ‘Before his Face’ makes a facinating study, for His face has to do with ‘great favour’!!

“And I will not hide My face from them anymore: for I have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,”(Ezek 39:29)

“……He sent them two by two before His Face ……………where He Himself was about to go” (Luke 10:1)

“In the light of the Kings face is life, And his favour is like a cloud of the latter rain” (prov16:15)

We are just an advance party for something ‘mind-blowing’ that’s on it’s way!!!!!!

It’s difficult to put the last 24hrs into words! and because of confidentiality I ‘m not going to try!! accept to say I could not have planned what happened in Kendal  or with the people it happened with. ( amongst some highly influential people) . God had me deliver a word this morning that I believe is the preperation for a mighty move of God in Kendal. Mike Booth is now my support man and he was in the meeting this morning too. He said, that he hasn’t experienced anything like it, at one point the room was full of weeping!

So we continue on, in God’s grace to Lancaster….

Amazing day in Kendal!

For the last 3 days Kendal has been on my mind and not just because no church has responded to emails, letters or calls about our coming through their town. Ive been troubled in my heart for the town and wondered how to contact the leaders about Sunday , yet on the other hand felt God would make it happen His way!

This morning whilst walking through Kendal town centre a fellow on a bike came along side and asked me what I was doing, apparently I passed by his house and his wife said, “quick, go find out what that’s about”. Turns out that this fellow called Colin Greaves and his wife Chrissie planted new life community church in 1984, and  in 2003/4  felt God tell them to lay it down ( long story to this, but everything they told us checked out with what Spirit was saying to me) This couple have payed a huge cost and have  been amazingly obedient in a unique way!!! They have an amazing building that is being used for the homeless & drug addicts and just recently opened up a 24/7 prayer room. As soon as I set foot in the prayer room today it felt like walking into an opperations room for military strategy, and I felt a strong prophetic anointing come. I will be sharing with their core team tonight the word God has given me.

Also while walking out of Kendal to Milnthorpe today, At least a man walking his dog  and a couple building a garage have had encounters with God. Oh,  and a freind who was visiting the couple building the garage got so touched by the Lord she had to go and be quiet on her own fo a while!!!! You see whilst travelling back to Kendal in the motorhome retracing my steps, the wife of the couple building the garage  stopped us to say that the friend visiting was now in their house in tears asking “what does this mean?” !!!!!!! Also prayed for a 77 year old  lady in a wheelchair who prayed to receive salvation!!!! and I’m not a betting man..(obviously!) but if I were I would definitely bet on her supernatural recovery in the next couple of days from a broken leg from 18months ago that has left her wheelchair bound. And as she has just joined the family of God it makes it all the more personal!!!! PTL.
